Artwork Description

"There is something otherworldly about the movements of leopards, as if the laws of physics do not apply to them. In the Segera Conservancy, I watched this cat perch motionless on a lone branch, its body balanced as if it were posing. What struck me was the simplicity of the scene, the clean lines of the branch, the pattern of spots, and the stillness that turned the moment sculptural. Segera itself tells another story, one much more layered and complex. Once razed by cattle lands, it has been reborn over decades into a living sanctuary where corridors of restored habitat now give leopards safe passage across the Laikipia Plateau." — Cristina Mittermeier Edition of 6: 20” x 30” Edition of 6: 32” x 48” Edition of 6: 40” x 60” Edition of 6: 50” x 75”
