Bahamas. “Somewhere between mangroves and coral reefs, I came across this lone green sea turtle. It tilted its head slightly toward me before rising to the Surface for a quick breath. I swam alongside it, enjoying its curious company before it eventually grew bored and left me behind. Sea turtles cross entire oceans in their lifetimes, retracing migrations older than our maps.
