Artwork Description

One of the greatest unsolved problems in theoretical physics for several decades has been the unification of quantum mechanics (micro) and general relativity (macro), this theoretical framework is often referred to as quantum gravity and it’s thought to be the key to comprehend scenarios such as the early age of our universe , the behavior of black holes , as well as understanding more about our world , and everything that surrounds us . These paintings delve into these two macro and micro physical phenomenons , such as the movement and orbits of planets and other large scale objects and also the trajectories and behavior of atoms , quarks and other fundamental particles. The unification of these two incompatible theories , has divided the scientific community (the so called realists and anti-realists) and this division matters because according to theoretical physicist Lee Smolin ¨Science is under attack , and with it the belief in a real world in which facts are either true or false. Parts of our society appear to be losing their grip on the boundary between reality and fantasy. Science is under attack from those who find its conclusions inconvenient for their political and business objectives. Climate change should not be a political issue ; it is not a matter of ideology , it is a matter of national security and should be treated as such. It is a real problem which requires evidence-based solutions , Science is also under attack from religious fundamentalists who insist ancient texts are the teachings of unchanging truths by god¨.
