RÍO & MEÑAKA is a contemporary art gallery born in 2018 that represents artists with international projection. With headquarters in Madrid, Barcelona and Carabanchel, it has an extensive multidisciplinary programming, committing to a great diversity of languages and a plurality of discourses. In addition, it has a sponsorship program of international scholarships for artist residences and an innovative university training program in art and collecting.

While our main headquarters are located in the central gallery area of the prestigious Salamanca district of Madrid, RÍO & MEÑAKA also has a second location in Carabanchel, where we host an artist residency program for international creators. Since its conception, our gallery has carried out more than 100 individual and collective exhibition projects both in Spain and abroad. Likewise, we have awarded more than 30 national and international artists work and residency space in Madrid, we have organized more than 20 publications and contributed to many others, we have participated in more than 10 international art fairs, and we have had more than 1,500 appearances in the media over our lifetime, thus helping to disseminate the message and the work of our artists from all perspectives both inside and outside our nation’s borders.

In addition, aware of the importance of training and information in the twenty-first century, as well as of the need to promote good practices in the sector, RÍO & MEÑAKA has always aimed to go a step beyond our main task as a gallery by promoting an innovative and necessary educational program in art and collecting. This program has already organized more than 200 conferences and roundtable discussions, and it has promoted the first mba in art business since 2022, doing so in collaboration with the prestigious ceu san pablo university. The program is taught by some of the most important professionals on the spanish art scene.

The gallerists Enrique del Río and Amaia de Meñaka each have more than 20 years of experience in the world of art and collecting. RÍO & MEÑAKA is part of artemadrid, the main association of contemporary art galleries in spain which brings together the best galleries in the Spanish capital.
