Artwork Description

This work, revealing layers of time, was created during the artist's residency in Loitz, Germany, in 2021. It is composed of fragments of wallpaper taken from a house built in 1885, whose successive inhabitants altered the interior decoration over time. In some instances, the wallpapers were hand-painted. The shape of the pattern refers to the term "wallpaper", used to describe the background image on a mobile phone or computer.
