Artwork Description
This standing Buddha has the remains of a halo behind his head, and is from the Northern Qi Dynasty 550 - 577 A.D. The style is quite austere, the simple robes reveal the slender form of the body, and the beatific expression indicates the enlightened aspect of the Buddha who is in a state of Nirvana.
