Artwork Description

Aluxes is a series of unique ceramic sculptures by Gerda Gruber, inspired by ancestral mythologies and embodied presence. Each work is conceived as a singular figure, formed through stacked, biomorphic volumes that evoke guardians, totems, or protective spirits. Hand-built in ceramic, the sculptures emphasize tactility, weight, and material memory. Neither figurative nor abstract, Aluxes occupies a liminal space between object, body, and symbol, offering collectors one-of-a-kind works rooted in ritual, craftsmanship, and sculptural continuity.
