Karl A. Meyer (Basel, 1958) first developed his woodcuts while living in New York, where he was based from 1979 to 1996. He has exhibited in New York at the Rosa Esman Gallery, Annie Plumb Gallery, Barbara Braathen Gallery, and several others, and in Switzerland at Galerie Triebold, Lichtfeld, and more.
His work, is included in numerous corporate collections, including Swiss Bank Corporation, UBS, and the former Chemical Bank of New York. His outdoor sculpture, “Birdman,” stands in Raiding, Austria, birthplace of composer Franz List.
